**About Us**

Established in 2002, Greenhouse Sports charity is leading the fight for a future where young people are supported and empowered, whatever their challenges, through sport. We coach and mentor young people from deprived backgrounds because the crisis for children living in deprivation is real and it is urgent. Children from the poorest families are 3 times more likely to not participate in any extra-curricular activities compared to those from wealthier families and they lack many opportunities that are available to their wealthier peers. They are more likely to leave school with no qualifications, be excluded from school, get involved in crime and gang violence and suffer from mental health issues.

Greenhouse are here to make sure they get the best possible chance to do well in life and have the resilience to overcome lifes difficulties. We run extracurricular breakfast, lunch and after-school clubs at mainstream, primary and special educational needs schools. Young people who have the opportunity to play sport regularly and be mentored by coaches who are role-models become adults who have confidence, resilience and leadership potential.

**The Role**

We are looking to recruit a qualified, skilled Multisports Head Coach with a passion for sport for development to lead our new programme at Abbey Mead Primary Academy, Leicester. The role will include planning and delivering a comprehensive high-quality coaching and mentoring programme. The programme will include significant PE curriculum delivery and a mixture of extra-curricular sessions including breakfast, lunch and after-school sessions, one to one or small groups sessions (where agreed with the school) and regular competitive opportunities. You will also be required to deliver half term and holiday camps during the school holidays.

As a coach you will also work closely with the Impact Team to collect high-quality data to demonstrate the effectiveness of what we do and to quantify the difference we make to our young people. Data is collected at designated times throughout the year and includes; case studies, questionnaires, skills and fitness testing. Our coaches also regularly review the young peoples' progress and set targets for their future development.

Greenhouse Sports is committed to Safeguarding & Child Protection and you will ensure that all policies and procedures are adhered to at all times and will maintain accurate records of all registered participants, staff and volunteers at all planned sessions.

**The Person**

To be considered for this role you must hold a minimum of NGB Level 2 (or equivalent) coaching qualification and have experience of successfully delivering and managing top quality multi-sports coaching programmes for young people in a school, community or sports club setting. You will also demonstrate strong mentoring skills and experience, as well as being a confident and capable IT user with excellent administrative and organisational skills which will be needed to effectively plan and manage the programme and capture all relevant data in a timely manner.

You will be highly passionate about the Greenhouse Sports mission, values and beliefs and helping young people learn and develop.
