Key Responsibilities Be able to successfully assess for and prescribe orthoses in line with HCPC standards, utilizing BAPO guidelines. Utilise evidenced based practice and rationale decision making in prescription choice. Be able to communicate with patients, their family members, multidisciplinary team (MDT), suppliers and manufacturers. To maintain a current knowledge of relevant clinical pathologies to be able to devise the most appropriate prescriptions.

Responsible for keeping up to date with relevant clinical research, best practice and professional guidelines. Responsible for own continued professional development with mentorship and self-directed learning. Assist with promotion of the profession but contributing to the training of students and other professionals as required. Be legally and professionally responsible for all aspects of your own work, including the management of patients in your care as an autonomous practitioner.
