**Credit Controller**

Sheehan Haulage is a small business family run business with our head office located in Yarnton Oxford. We are professional, customer-centric and autonomous, with a long-term vision to provide our customers with the best products and services in the industry. We service the construction industry with skip, tipper plant hire, and sustainable aggregates via our construction and demolition waste recycling facility.

We are seeking a Credit Controller to join our professional, friendly, and motivated team. Reporting directly to the Finance Director the responsibilities and duties will include, but are not limited to:

- Pursuing clients for payment of invoices which have fallen due or are becoming due. Proactive approach will be favoured to a reactive one.
- Ensure that all queries raised by our clients are dealt with quickly and professionally
- Streamlining payment options.
- Discussing outstanding debts
- Producing weekly reports
- Keeping detailed dialogue of customer interaction
- Negotiating payment plans
- Produce customer monthly statements
- Responsible for credit card transactions and reconciliations of sales ledger accounts
- Manages bank fund transfers
- Undertake other duties as requested to support the Credit Management function within Sheehan
- Daily banking duties including travel to bank/post office when required
- Producing NBP documentation, and if necessary legal proceedings paperwork
- Dealing will paperwork to maintain credit limits under the terms of our insurance policy with HCC
- Dealing with account queries
- Raising rental invoices for company property portfolio. Ensuring efficient and timely collection of all rent, residential and commercial tenants. Reporting defaults in a timely manner and arranging any removal proceedings, engaging lawyers. Liaising with letting agent on tenant handovers, maintenance, deposits and ensuring fair charges are raised for maintenance and the account is reconciled with the letting agent
- Maintaining an Excel based ledger on company rentals
- Reconciliation of company credit cards
**- Office administration**:

- Answering sales calls and taking customer bookings and enquiries.
- Preparation of payroll reports, collating information and timesheets in order to produce a weekly payroll and bi-weekly sub-contractor payments.
- Data entry of purchase orders and purchase invoices
- Price checking of frequently purchased parts and equipment for the business to ensure items are purchased from the most competitive suppliers
- Preparation of accounts payable

**Skills**:
Skills include knowledge of accounting principles, ability to analyse data, problem solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task effectively under pressure of deadlines.

Working hours - 8.00 - 16.30 (1 hour lunch break) (37.5 hours per week)

Holiday entitlement: 21 days plus Bank Holidays

Mandatory Christmas shut-down, no weekend working or bank holidays
