Windsor, United Kingdom The Green Room Foundation Ltd Full time

The Green Room College, or GRC as it is known, is an independent pub based school providing a second chance at education for up to 21 young people aged 16+, who have, for various reasons, found it difficult to learn in mainstream education. They all have Education Health Care Plans indicating a variety of needs, including support for their Autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, ODD, PDA and/or Social, Emotional or Mental Health difficulties. Our highly dedicated team provides a broad, lively, and stimulating curriculum for our pupils based on our ROCCIT programme to give them the opportunity to enhance their Resilience, Organisation, Community, Communication, Initiative and Teamwork skills. They are also able to retake GCSE’s including English, Maths and Science, as well as engage in physical education and life skills including work experience in The Swan pub, which is our base, and our Market Garden. We focus on inspiring change within our pupils to ensure their successful future. Our pupils want to be at GRC, it is not a place they are ‘sent’. This is crucial to the culture and success of the school.

*

Due to the nature of our pupils, this role would ideally suit someone who really wants to make a difference to young people’s lives; someone who wants to help them reach their potential by giving them a second chance; someone who is humble yet confident, enthusiastic yet understands the need for boundaries, and energetic yet calm. Our success is built on outstanding staff/pupil relationships and creating a safe environment for our pupils to thrive. Experience is useful but your patience, work ethic and love of our ethos is even more important to us. If you’d like to help our pupils overcome their issues to achieve great things please apply.

Salary will be commensurate with experience and expertise.
