Clinical Support (Night Duty)

Full Time Permanent Role - 40 Hours per Week

**Purpose of Role**:
At Maples Care Home in Bexleyheath, a new and exciting Clinical Support role has become available, and this provides a great opportunity for individuals who are keen to develop their career further.

This is a key role, reporting to the Home Manager. You will have responsibility for overseeing the night shift within the home, ensuring that the team consistently delivers the highest quality care to our residents.

This is a permanent full time night shift position for 40 hours per week. The shifts will be on a flexible rotational basis between Monday and Sunday, from 7.00pm to 7.00am.
- Demonstrate leadership to a team of care and ancillary staff allowing an opportunity for all staff to communicate openly and positively.
- Assist with rota planning to ensure the home is fully staffed at all times and to eliminate the use of agency staff.
- Ensure that the care needs of the home meet required essential Company and CQC standards.
- Ensure the safe delivery of care, maximising staff and other resources.
- Assist the Manager with pre-admission assessments and arrangements where necessary for admissions to the Home.
- Monitor residents’ conditions and report any changes to senior The Registered Nurse or the Manager as appropriate.
- Have a good knowledge of safeguarding, DOLS and Mental Capacity Act and is able to put this knowledge into practice, guide others and seek guidance and support as required.

**Requirements**:

- NVQ qualified to Level 5 Health & Social Care
- Possesses a professional, reliable and flexible attitude.
- Ability to work as an individual or as part of a team.
- Respectful, courteous, patience and compassionate nature
- Strong communication Skills both written and oral
