**Location: Aldermaston 1-2 days per week**

AWE plays a crucial role in national nuclear security. Their role in nuclear deterrence and their specialist technical assistance to nuclear threat reduction is vital in the defence against the most serious threats faced by the UK. Working to support the defence of our country, AWE has a clear mission: to keep everyone, the environment, their products and information, sites, and everything around them, safe and secure.

**As an **O**rganisational Effectiveness Consultant** **your main responsibilities would be**:

- A Subject matter expert in organisational effectiveness and will help drive transformation.
- Involved in an exciting programme of identifying and delivering OE frameworks and interventions across many different disciplines to transform the performance of our operating model.
- A Functional expert you will evaluate, critique and benchmark our organisation to develop career pathways.
- To Manage the AWE job architecture framework ensuring that it is fit for purpose and aligned to other key structures within the organisation.
- Facilitate workshops and develop design concepts that deliver best practice solutions.
- Responsible for ensuring all organisation change is aligned and compliant to the organisation design principles in order to improve performance against the AWE operating model.
- To Provide expert leadership on a wide range of complex operational and strategic HR matters focusing specifically in your CoE (Operations, Generalist, Org Capability, Leadership etc.).
- Specify, lead and contribute to significant business and HR projects.
- Design and implement HR best practice strategies and practices which contribute to the organisation’s ability to meet identified human resource and business outcomes.
- Consult effectively with relevant stakeholders on the development of HR projects, policy and practices.
- Deal with escalated issues from within HR Operations, CoEs and HR colleagues and ensure their timely resolution.
- Monitor trends and ensure service issues are identified and resolved, working proactively with others in HR and the wider organisation.
- Maintain strong business and HR stakeholder relationships, in particular working with colleagues across HR, to identify opportunities for improvement, plan for and manage business change.
- Partner with the wider HR team, to ensure seamless delivery of customer services.
- Lead analysis of engagement survey data and business performance metrics to identify specific interventions that positively impact business performance and / or employee engagement

**Essential**:

- Strong proven experience in the field of organisational effectiveness, career pathways and job architecture
- Proven analytical and diagnostics skills
- An inquisitive mind, challenging the logic and effectiveness of the organisation
- The ability to influence, engage and challenge senior business leaders
- The confidence to work independently, driven by curiosity, and be able to present their recommendations articulately
- Critical thinking

***Desirable**:

- Ideally SC Cleared or eligible to go through SC clearance
