Working closely with the Charity Manager you will be responsible for management and delivery of our external communications across all our channels. You will be able to use your skills and experience to continue to grow our audiences, using your creativity to plan and develop engaging content and proactively raise awareness of MS Research. You will collaborate closely with the team, research leads and other trustees to deliver new and commentary on developments in the field of Multiple Sclerosis (MS) research. You will be able to use your skills in digital marketing, website management and writing to support the delivery of the marketing strategy in line with the wider organisational vision, mission and aims. Uptake of further on-the-job formal training opportunities is actively encouraged and you will be supported in this.

**About the Organisation**

MS Research Treatment and Education is a charitable organisation based in Bristol at the Vassal Centre, which aims to grow sustainably over the next few years. Our aims are:
1. to advance and fund research into the disabling condition Multiple Sclerosis

2. to assist people who have MS in the management of their condition through treatment and education services

3. to act as a representative body addressing all areas of interest for those who have MS, those close to them and those who treat and research the condition

**Main role responsibilities**
- Develop and manage content using a range of robust information resources relevant to MS.
- Research and evaluate communication resources.
- Work directly with the Charity Manager to promote fundraising activity and actively encourage participation via communication channels, including any specific arrangements made by MS Research to support their fundraisers.
- To maintain and update the website, developing new content on the back end with some support from designers and developers.
- Ensure appropriate donor inclusion and support in communications.
- Raise the organisation’s profile to maximise engagement and grow our audiences across channels.
- Manage data insights on communications across all channels, including the use of Google Analytics and other software, to report on progress to line management and trustees.
- Seek potential opportunities for MS Research to participate in national events, awards or activities etc.
- Collaborate with the MSRTE team on the annual report.

**Person Specification**
- Creative thinker and self-starter who can develop and deliver content to deadlines and maintain effective planning schedules.
- Confident at collaborating with colleagues to ensure accurate information is delivered in line with the MS Research brand voice.
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
- Proactive and adaptable with an interest in the sector.
- Experience in multi-channel marketing and communications, and data management for reporting purposes is essential.
- Experience in overseeing website re-development and launch is desirable.
- Comfortable working in a small team and able to take initiative and responsibility.
- Good at prioritising work for maximum impact.
- Comfortable with offering input on communication platforms and techniques relevant to furthering the charity’s aims and objectives.
- Aware of and adherent to all statutory governance procedures (data protection, health and safety etc.) to ensure safe and successful operations.
- Experience working in medical and research communications is desirable, but not essential.

**Please note**: The post holder would be expected to work mostly from the office with some flexibility for home working. Parking is available on-site. Some flexibility for working hours is possible with discussion, provided certain cross-over and reporting criteria with other staff are met.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Temporary contract
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: £23,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
