Adecco Nottingham, have an amazing exclusive opportunity with our client, who are based in Nottingham. We are searching for a Community Fundraising Officer who is driven by quality, service and want to work as part of a caring team.

Here's some of the key responsibilities for the role:

- Provide support and expert advice to individuals and organisations fundraising 'in aid of' university causes, or those that show an interest in doing so.
- Monitor use of fundraising platforms such as Just Giving.
- Monitoring of social media platforms (predominantly Facebook) for messages from supporters.
- Contribute to the designing of supporter journeys, from the point of initial interest to thanking and stewarding, monitoring these and refining as necessary.
- Update the department's CRM database with actions resulting from any one-to-one contact with alumni, donors, and supporters.
- Keep track of significant milestones in supporter's fundraising journeys and establish key touch points for communication.
- Manage the experience of community fundraising supporters by identifying supporter needs/requests
- Monitor stocks of a small range of supporting branded materials used by supporters.
- Monitor internal and external service levels and processes, recommending changes as appropriate.
- Manage changes relating to policy, legislation, or regulation.
- Work with the Information Management Team and other University governance teams to ensure compliance for all activities.
- Partner with the Communications Team and Donor Relations Team to identify effective ways of stewarding supporters.
- Excellent organisational skills, showing attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Proficient use of IT - Microsoft Office and large databases.
- Articulate with an excellent level of written and spoken English and an ability to communicate professionally at all levels in an organisation.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate with sensitivity to families who may be bereaved or have a seriously ill relative.
- Problem solving skills.
- Adaptability and flexibility of approach.
- Ability to manage a diverse and varied workload
- Experience of working in a customer or supporter-focused environment
- Experience of working independently and dealing with unforeseen problems and circumstances, by taking decisions and thinking creatively.
