**Account Assistant**

**Salary is between 22K - 23.5K.**

**Basford - Nottinghamshire**

The recruitment group is working with a well-established business who are recruiting junior desk-based account managers based out of Nottingham.

**Purpose of the Desk Based Account Assistant**:
Working within a busy accounts payable department, providing admin support with a variety of tasks.

**Main duties and responsibilities of Account Assistant-**
- Processing invoices
- Including EDI processing and direct delivery reports.
- Performing supplier statements reconciliations.
- Booking in direct shipments.
- Liaising with suppliers to support query resolutions.
- Downloading invoices and credit notes.
- Updating the client’s system with receipts.
- Digital filing of documents, pending and processing.
- Invoice approvals.
- Manual purchase order approvals.
- Liaising with other apartments to resolve invoice disputes.
- Maintenance of spreadsheets and Microsoft lists.
- Provide holiday cover for other members of the team.

**Skills/Qualities for Account Assistant Role -**
- Strong Written communication skills at all levels
- Great attention to detail
- Proficient IT skills with the ability to learn new systems.
- Ability to quickly learn and retain knowledge with regards to processes.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
