**Assistant Buyer**

**Location**: Birmingham, B70 8BG
**Salary**:£27,000 to £30,000, DOE
**Contract**: Full Time, Permanent

**An exciting opportunity has become available for an Assistant Buyer to join a well-established company based in Birmingham.**

Key Responsibilities:

- Daily/ Weekly/ Monthly management of inventory ensuring it’s at optimum level (UK and Globally Sourced)
- Analysing sales forecasts and demands to ensure continuity of supply from our global supply chain
- The role is best suited to a self-motivated person who can work to deadlines, achieve KPI targets and manage all Goods-In
- Promoting our core values with great customer care and showcasing your skills and professionalism
- Forecast demand to ensure stock is ordered and dispatched as required. Adjust shipments to suit current needs in the UK (over supply/ under Supply)
- Tracking shipments, reconciling invoices and updating inventory records
- Raising purchase orders through to our suppliers
- Ordering Promotional Inventory for specific Marketing Campaign
- Calculating safety stock levels and adjusting BUY QTY constantly in line with increase/decrease in Sales
- Delving deep into analysing changing product trends and making decisions accordingly
- Research new/existing Product Lines and see where we stand in comparison to a Basket of other market participants
- Supplier Management and performance reviews
- Ensuring Products, we buy/ source have correct Vital Data (Product Master File) and it maintained to high accuracy
- Ordering and maintain Imagery/ Media from CGI suppliers, Explainer Videos, Explainer images and anything that will help the end customer buying experience easier
- Item code set up, Allocating Barcodes, Communicate Packaging Guidelines

**Assistant Buyer - What we need from you**:
You should have worked as an Assistant Buyer with OEM products and will have demonstrable experience with supplier negotiation and relationship management
- Bathroom Buying experience is advantageous but not essential
- Naturally curious to learn and find new ways to cut costs
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of consumer behaviour
- Good working knowledge of MS Office, in particular Excel
- Strong verbal, written and presentation skills.
