**About the role**

We are currently recruiting for a permanent Construction Buyer based in West Midlands.

You will work closely with the live project site teams and procurement department in order to carry out the necessary take offs and tender preparations through Intend for the supply of materials to the live construction sites. This will involve the scheduling of all material requirements integrated with the construction programme and subcontract packages.

The Construction Buyer will engage with the design teams to ensure the correct drawings, specifications and information is available tenders to be sent out.

You will produce tender analysis data to inform the team to make decisions on the procurement correct route.

To work within the construction project budgets and provide regular cost value comparisons for the CVR reporting process for the supply of materials. This will include liaising with specialist suppliers to obtain accurate cost advice.

Work with the procurement team to ensure procurement is carried out in line with the Public Contract Regulations 2015

**About you**

You will be able to demonstrate previous working experience as a buyer within the construction Industry.

Holdformal qualifications associated with purchasing such as CIPS level 2 is not essential but desirable for this role.

This role requires excellent communication and IT Skills. This will include being able to plan, organise and execute multiple tasks simultaneously.

You will be able operate effectively and make good quality decisions with available information.
