framework of the team’s.

We are looking for a band 7 or 8a Clinical Psychologists, depending on experience, to join our growing psychology team within Cornwall CAMHS. The CAMHS teams offer a range of services according to the THRIVE model (AFC-Tavistock model) and specialist care pathways. The posts involve offering assessment and intervention for our specialist ‘getting help’ and ‘getting more help’ pathways as well as consultation and support into our newly developed Early Help Network consultation meetings.

In collaboration with Exeter University we have trained a significant number of Clinical Associate Psychologists to support assessments and deliver CAMHS interventions in school settings. Working alongside these new psychologists, implementing our Psychological Therapies Strategy will be a large part of the role.

Our psychology leadership team currently consists of a Chief Psychological Professions Officer (CPPO) as well as a Heads of Psychological Professions. We are a supportive and innovative team of Psychologists and Psychological Therapists in Children's and we are keen to develop our services in line with best practice for psychological care, trauma informed approaches and compassionate leadership. We are building our teams by developing further lead Consultant Psychologist posts in each service line to support our service and hoping to continue to grow and expand out services within CAMHS and children’s community neurodevelopmental and health services. we are keen to support the continued professional development of our psychology team to develop expertise in a range of therapeutic interventions as well supporting leadership development and supervision skills. We are actively involved in a number of clinical research trials and as a service are keen for clinical staff to be involved in research and practice based evidence.

The post offers a good balance between early help/preventative/consultation work and highly specialist interventions for young people with more acute and complex needs. Training and supervision in a range of interventions to deliver and support our NICE informed care pathways is supported and encouraged.

This post will be based in the West of the County, based in Redruth but will offer some clinical time to the Penzance team.

Approximately 568,000 people live here. A third of people who live in Cornwall are supported by acute hospital services in Devon. As a result, we also work closely with our partners in Devon. In the summer, and during other holidays lots of people choose to visit the area. This increases the numbers of people who use our services.
