**Job Description**:
Job Title: Loss Prevention Officer

Location: St Andrews, Fife

Contract: Casual

Your role as Loss Prevention Officer is to minimise any losses within the hotel, to ensure all Health & Safety and security issues are adhered to. You will manage all fire systems and procedures and the issuing and security control of keys. To minimise any losses within the hotel, to ensure all Health & Safety and security issues are adhered to.

What you will be doing:

- Management of Accident and incident reporting, and responsible for conducting relevant investigations
- Maintenance of First aid and emergency response equipment
- Conduct Fire Safety Checks and maintain Fire Safety Records
- Monitor the Fire System and take control in any potential fire situations.
- Maintain a record of faults and repairs carry out weekly tests of all Fire Safety Equipment
- Check that all of the Emergency lights are working and in good order, report any defects
- Control and issue of all keyed access including staff lockers.
- Issuing of all Staff Vingcards and managing the hardware & software system, ensuring that all keys are logged in a register
- Carry out any security checks of external areas of buildings including Manor Homes, clubhouse, steadings and grounds.
- Monitor all of the external door alarm systems and investigate any irregularities.
- Monitoring and control of contractors, issuing of visitor cards and logging any contractor through the correct procedure.
- Periodically conduct baggage checks of staff.
- Management of Resort CCTV system.
- Management of all Fire, Safety & Security Polices for department

**Qualifications**:

- Should be fully up-to-date on all aspects of Health and Safety and correct legislation
- Knowledge of hotel policy and procedure
- Previous experience in a similar establishment or position is preferred
