An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Nursing Team on Sunderland Ward as a Health Care Support Worker. Sunderland Ward is a 40 bedded community rehabilitation ward based in South Pembrokeshire Hospital providing care to patients with often complex and challenging health and social care needs. There are also dedicated Palliative beds on the ward.

We are looking for dependable and dedicated individuals with a passion for patient care and a desire to learn new skills and develop in a positive and busy environment. The post holder will need to demonstrate that they have good communication skills and that they are in excellent team player.

The post holder will work as part of a team of ward based nursingstaff, assisting in the delivery of a high standard of nursing care and acting in a professional manner at all times. Theywill be required to carry out a range of assigned tasks involving direct and non-direct care that promote self-care and independence for the benefit of the patient and will be in support of and supervised by a Registered Nurse. This will be followed by a period of training and completion of core competencies.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.
