Sense is looking for a Support Worker within our Day service located in Caerphilly offering you an hourly rate of £10.15.
This is the perfect role for a support worker wanting flexible day time hours to suit your family needs. Contracts are flexible and may suit those looking for a part-time post or those with limited availability, parents with children at school. Contracts are on a permanent basis with hours to suit up to 30 per week.
Touch Base South Wales is a purpose-built Centre which is the base for a huge variety of social activities and education-based sessions. It is located within the heart of the local community and is a short walk from the local high street and its public transport network. Sessions at the Centre are tailor-made to suit individual or group needs. This means that members of our team could be supporting somebody out on a day trip one day and in our ball pit the next. Other activities on offer to the people we support in Touchbase include sensory stories, music therapy, gardening, cooking, music activities, communication practice, art activities, sensory environments and to access facilities in the local community. Just some of the day trips we have done over the last year include surfing, zoo trips and theatre visits.

You require a full manual UK license and must be willing/able to drive our vehicles.
We partake in a wide range of activities that include swimming, walks, art, drumming, beach trips, bus/train trips, and the great outdoors as well as meaningful activities at the base, so we would like someone who thrives on supporting people in a range of activities and who is also willing to look out for new opportunities No two days will be the same

**This role in Caerphilly might include supporting people with**:
Everyday tasks like cooking and cleaning.
Personal care and hygiene.
Finances.
Medication and wellbeing.
Working.
Going into the community for shopping or other trips.
