**Legacy Fundraiser**

We are looking for an outstanding relationship executive who will initiate, develop, and sustain relationships with current supporters, growing their engagement through give, act and pray and getting them on to the legacy pathway as an enquirer.

**Hours**: Full-time, 36.5 hours per week (with one evening per week)

**Contract**: Permanent

**Salary**: From £27,000 per annum, depending on experience + good range of benefits

**About the role**:
As the Legacy Fundraiser, you will support the Legacy Manager to deliver on targets through phone calls and face to face at events. You will be required to initiate, develop, and sustain relationships with current supporters, growing their engagement with the organisation through give, act and pray and getting them on to the legacy pathway as an enquirer, nurturing them and increasing retention and progressing them to becoming a pledger. Through relationship building, provide leads for major donor executives, child sponsorship visits, child sponsorship and churches.

This role has been created to engage with the organisation’s supporters on the telephone following the mailing campaigns and events to encourage the consideration of leaving a gift in their wills, supporting the growth of the organisation’s legacy income.

**Key responsibilities will include**:

- Manage the data from the various campaigns to ensure you reach each area of the target.
- Have excellent questioning skills which will ensure you can discover more about the giving behaviours of the supporter to build stronger long-term relationships. You need to identify trends and passions and take them on a journey with the organisation.
- Be externally focused, engage the supporters with the organisation’s cause and develop mutually beneficial relationships.
- Meet or exceed annual fund-raising goals through the cultivation of relationships with supporters.
- Develop long-term relationships through personal interaction with supporters, shaping their interest in leaving a gift in their will.
- To cold call existing supporters to talk about Gift, Act and Pray and the benefits of leaving a gift in their will and the difference this makes, get their interest in wanting a brochure.
- Plan and implement account management and moves management strategies to ensure supporters are cultivated towards their full giving potential, leading them towards enquirers and then pledgers

**About you**:
For the Legacy Fundraiser position, you will be confident, and sociable with a track record of building relationships with donors/clients either in the charity or commercial sector. You will have excellent listening skills with high emotional intelligence.

To perform well in this role, you’ll need:

- Degree educated or equivalent experience
- A good understanding of telesales and telesales or account management experience
- Knowledge of data protection and Child Protection and the need to follow procedures
- Ability to speak clearly and confidently with excellent verbal communication skills. You will be a fantastic storyteller who is able to captivate people’s interest and direct them on a journey
- Good time management and prioritising skills with a clear ability to multi-task and excellent networking and influencing skills
- Excellent administration skills and experience working with a CRM database
