At UK Assessment & Qualifications, we shape education by delivering nearly 4 million exam results annually to students in the UK and worldwide. Our services cover various qualifications like A-Levels, GCSEs, BTECs, and T-levels. Our in-house systems manage the entire learner journey, from registration to marking and certification, using hybrid and bespoke systems.

**About the Apprenticeship**

This role will support the Assessment Associate Relations Manager for Vocational Qualifications in achieving identified business outcomes and metrics. Pearson Associate Relations work in an HR capacity for our contracted workforce, with a remit covering all aspects of the contractor lifecycle. These contractors, referred to internally as ‘Associates’, support with the development, writing, marking, and moderation of Pearson qualifications.

In this role you will support in the management, development and undertaking of policies, processes, and procedures relating to our contracted Associates. They will advocate for Associates internally, with an aim to continually improve the Associate experience.

You will be enrolled as **HR Support Level 3** which will help you develop your skills and knowledge and can take up to **24 months** to complete.

**About You**

An Assessment Associate Relations Advisor for Associate Relations provides a customer focused service to both Pearson teams and our Associates. You will work closely with internal Pearson teams and stakeholders to provide support and guidance on all matters related to our contracted Associates.

**The following are some of the key areas for this role**:
Communication
- Respond to general queries from Associates with the support of stakeholders
- Maintain the Associate Relations self-service SharePoint page

Development
- Work with relevant stakeholders on Associate related projects and programmes which fall under the Relations team remit
- Advise and support Pearson teams on Associate performance and conduct matters
- Co-ordinate the Associate performance monitoring process

Relations
- Co-ordinate the Associate complaints process
- Support the management of Associate Conflicts of Interests procedures
- Support in the review, development, and publishing of Associate policies, procedures, and processes
- Maintain appropriate records of Associate Relations activities

**Key skills and competencies**
- Excellent written communication skills
- Intermediate level Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Ability to adapt to a complex changing workload
- Confidence to deal with stakeholders at all levels of the company
- Experience with employee relations issues (Desirable)
- Experience in a customer facing or HR role (Desirable)

**Experience you’ll gain**

- Business acumen: Develop an understanding of the education and qualification delivery sector, and how our Assessment Associates support this work.
- Associate Management: Become familiar with a wide range of policies and procedures related to Associate work, and use this knowledge to provide support and guidance to internal teams.

**Job Location and Hours**

This role is aligned to our Rotherham office. Our Rotherham office is at Hellaby Industrial Estate, Fretwell Rd, Hellaby, Rotherham, S66 8HN.

We work a 37.5-hour week, with all our team free to flex their day around our core hours, which are Monday to Friday, 10 to 4 GMT/BST. School runs, etc can be accommodated. Other flexible working patterns can be considered, including part-time working and non-traditional hours.

For this role there is a requirement to provide occasional out of hours support during business-critical periods.
