The Cardio-Respiratory Department at Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is looking to recruit an enthusiastic Assistant Practitioner to join our busy, expanding multi-disciplinary team on full time permanent contract.

At the present time Wirral University Teaching Hospital has 8 Cardiologists and 7 Respiratory Physicians and is developing services in a variety of areas of the department.
- Provide general administrative support by assisting in the day-to-day planning and booking of clinics.
- You will be expected to have completed professional assessments and qualifications in Cardiology from the start of employment.
- With training and experience, provide all types of ECGs and Ambulatory assessments as part of the Cardiology physiology team.
- Prepare and provide ambulatory monitors including BP monitors for patients.
- To help assist with the delivery of the service.
- Responsible for reporting issues of patient concern if they have been identified.
- Evaluate, interpret, and present all test results in a format in line with departmental policy.
- Support and help with training of junior member of staff acting as a team leader.
- Ensure prompt completion of own duties via the hospital computer system to maintain comprehensive records of procedures.
