Construction Coordinator

Overview / Responsibilities:
Wood is currently recruiting for a Construction Engineer in Aberdeen. This will be a fixed term position for a minimum of 12 months but could be extended beyond this.
- Reports to the Senior Construction Manager
- Construction readiness inc. process for readiness assurance
- Construction agile board
- Kaban and value stream mapping on key scopes
- Set up huddles on critical scope areas to facilitate onshore readiness.
- Planning
- Resourcing input for the onshore construction team
- Scope prioritisation for Construction and Services
- Provide guidance and support to all Construction personnel.
- Definition of construction support to other disciplines e.g. commissioning, leak testing.
- To be fully familiar of all Construction activities and a provide support and guidance as required.
- Construction contact onshore for Joint Integrity Contractor all vendors and sub contractors
- Ensure the completions process is followed, raise any issues with the Senior Construction Manager responsible for offshore execution.
- Construction support to materials checking [part of B&T process]
- Assist Materials with Deck Management for the project.
- Identify and coordinate Offshore surveys for the Project. ?

- Establish and maintain good working relationships with peer groups, WoodBPnd BP management and third-party vendors.
- Lead by example, setting high personal standards for peers to follow, proactively demonstrate and drive safety and leadership.
- Proactively support compliance with Wood Life Saving rules. Participate in company safety initiatives.
- Effective delegation to ensure the continuity of work scope execution.
- Be compliant with Wood procedures and client codes and standards.
- Identify plant and equipment meet requirements, fully certified and controlled effectively.
- Attend and lead meetings and report of any issues arising from these meetings.
- Liaise closely with all sub-contractors’ personnel, materials, plant, equipment, vendors, special tools, common user’s services and consumables are correctly resourced and available.
- Deliver against agreed planned work scopes ensuring obligations are met by way of timely delivery of work packs.
- Participate in workpack/scope round table or constructibility reviews
- Participate in planning 0 - 3 & 3 - 6 week look ahead meetings
- If identified, react to change in scope, inform necessary parties and complete the necessary change management documentation.
- Participate in audits as required.
- Ensure quality and consistency of reporting and plan attainment.
- To constantly review progress and monitor programmes, updating the latter, when necessary, in conjunction with the Senior Construction Manager.
- To co-ordinate and report on progress matters and support requirements.
- Lead Scope overviews, plan project training and coaching prior to mobilisation offshore.
- Lead scope / vendor readiness for offshore execution
- Lead construction GoNoGo process and progress reviews
- Coordinate / support holiday and absence requests in conjunction with the Senior Construction Manager.
- Support Performance reviews for the onshore Construction team.

Sharing Construction best practice, Presentation of incidents and the lessons to be learned from these.
Participation in Project daily meetings.
Optimise Construction Delivery onshore.

Raise and report on Project NCR’s, highlighting any issues and concerns as required.

**Qualifications**:
Relevant Trade registrations/vocational qualifications in their chosen discipline.
**Knowledge, skills and experience**:
- Capable of providing coaching and guidance to the onshore teams thus ensuring a quality product is delivered by the project.
- Has come from a Construction Background and/or Project Engineering background.
- Has a broad knowledge of construction, fabrication, and inspection techniques.
- Working knowledge of relevant legislation, codes and standards.
- Holds all current offshore certification including survival and medical certificate
- Has held a similar position previously.

- Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels within a project team.
