Utopian Recruitment are delighted to be working exclusively alongside an established and highly recognised travel agency within Edinburgh who are seeking to expand their team. Our client is an award-winning bespoke agency tour operator, specialising in activity holidays for older travellers with sunshine, stunning locations, yummy food and, of course, the odd glass of prosecco as part of their package.

**What the role will involve**:
This position is responsible for primarily performing sales, processing sales and follow through of sales until the company’s products are delivered. To perform this role successfully, you will be required to carry out daily tasks, some which may not directly deal with sales, while providing customer care to existing and new potential clients. You will be asked to carry out many tasks on a daily basis to ensure the company’s brand, commitment and presence are sustained in today’s current market. These tasks could include:

- Successfully selling the company products through strong product knowledge, interaction with clients and working towards monthly targets
- Dealing with all customer requests, queries and complaints i.e. feedbacks in a friendly and professional manner.
- Using our database to utilise your sales plan i.e. allocating clients to appropriate profiles, statuses etc.
- Advising clients on the best options for travel i.e. timings, costs, transfers to streamline arrival and departure days to the client’s advantage.
- Working with partners in Italy to provide excellent, streamlined transport during the client’s holiday.
- Working with all areas of the team to create, alert, and propose ideas on sales and forecasts (margins).
- Working with existing contacts and potential contacts to enhance company’s presence and sales.
- Correctly storing client details, correspondence, purchases to utilise your sales plan and knowledge of your customer.
- Outline and plan daily activities during the week of the client’s holiday and provide these before departure.
- During this task it would be advisable to co-ordinate with Italian staff.
- Working alongside other members of the team to come up with new ideas on marketing and advertisement of the company brand

**To be considered for this amazing opportunity, our client does require the following background / experience**:

- You should have great attention to detail, consider all processes, and have huge care and attention
- Quick to pick up new systems and procedures
- Be able to recognise selling opportunities, but do the right thing by the customer
- Ultimately, we want to provide a first-class service to customers. Some will end up becoming your friends and confidant and people who you will be speaking with regularly.
- A warm, friendly nature coupled with a lot of patience and consideration.
- If you come from a travel/recruitment/hospitality background, this could be a huge advantage.
- If you can speak Italian...even better
- Be happy working in a centrally office based environment and working a couple of Saturdays throughout the month
