The Role:
As the Financial Controller - Revenue you will assist the Head of Financial Control with all aspects of revenue accounting preparation and control. This role will be aided by the Revenue Accountant to ensure the timely and accurate preparation of the monthend and year end revenues and associated Balance Sheet. This role will work closely with the FP&A team and other business stakeholders.

You will be a driven, well organised person with strong accounting experience, particularly IFRS15 and revenue accounting, a good awareness of processes and controls who is comfortable in the detail as well as having the aptitude to see the bigger picturewhere needed.

A hybrid working arrangement is offered (with a requirement for c3 days office based work).

Primary Accountabilities:

- Ensure period end revenues are recorded and reported in compliance with SHLs policies, relevant accounting standards and other applicable regulations in line with published timetable for all business units
- Ensure all revenue balance sheet reconciliations are prepared accurately and completely and signed off in line with agreed timetable
- Establish and maintain a strong financial control environment with appropriate highly efficient processes and compliance for all revenue streams,
- Ownership of the end-to-end revenue recognition process and ensure compliance with IFRS15, including across new products and services.
- Direct, develop and oversee the Revenue Accountant
- Flexibly assist the broader Financial Control team where directed, to meet team priorities as they arise.
- Assist the Group Finance team in relevant aspects of the group and local audits to ensure timely audit completion and submission of financial statements
- Assist the FP&A and Business Partner teams in understanding the revenues on a monthly basis and as required
- Continuously improve existing processes and quality of outputs.

What are we looking for:

- A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with previous revenue experience
- Experience in an IFRS environment - especially IFRS 15
- Experience reviewing, documenting, implementing, and improving internal controls &
processes
- Experience preparing revenue insight reports and revenue balance sheet reconciliations
- Good accounting system experience
- Strong excel know-how
- Strong diagnostic experience
- Audit background an advantage
- Experience with Tableau reporting tool & Salesforce an advantage
