**About the role**
Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a Health & Safety Advisor to join our Power T&D DNO & Multi Utilities Health & Safety team across Wales and the South of England.

Within the Balfour Beatty DNO (Distribution Network Operator) team we carry out works involving Cabling, Substations and OHL works as well as providing a Faults and Services team who can quickly react to any unplanned incidents on the network including extensive cable jointing capability and also being able to carry out preventative maintenance. Clients include Northern Powergrid, WPD, Scottish Power Energy Networks, SSE, UKPN as well as certain works for National Grid.

This role will cover Wales and projects in the South of England. A company car will be provided.

**What you'll be doing**
On a day to day basis you will provide guidance, support, advice and compliance monitoring on Health and Safety to ensure compliance with the Balfour Beatty HSES integrated Business Management System (BMS), Legislation, BSI requirements and Client standards.

You will provide on-site engagement, coaching and support on H&S and promote safe behaviours on site.

**Who we're looking for**
The following personal qualities and experience are required:

- Educated to NEBOSH National Level Certificate as a minimum
- Membership of a relevant professional body (IOSH)
- Good communicator with influencing and persuasion skills
- Approachable
- Good interpersonal skills and team player
- Displaying and demonstrating the Balfour Beatty behaviours at all times
- Incident investigator/fact finder
- Accurate record keeping
- Relevant experience matched with their Project /Business area.
