Facilities Management Officer

**A day in the life**:
You will:
- Assist on the operational requirements of Wandle’s office accommodation and ongoing facilities management, including liaison with the buildings management team
- Planning and delivering essential central services such as reception, security, maintenance, building services, mail, archiving, cleaning, catering, waste disposal and recycling achieving value for money
- Coordinate provision of desk space and meeting space to ensure it meets the requirements of the organisation and that space is utilised efficiently and effectively
- Work with Health, Safety & Facilities Manager to propose and manage the facilities budgets and bring in on forecast
- Ensure that ‘how to’ guides are created and maintained, and the intranet space is used effectively to ensure people are well-equipped to manage basic office functions.
- Ongoing delivery and maintaining of business continuity and disaster recovery preventative and preparedness measures for the office
- Work with the business to ensure effective document and information management
- Support the implementation of Wandle’s health and safety policy and support the health and safety team to ensure that a culture of health and safety is promoted across the organisation
- Ensure that periodic office health and safety inspections are undertaken
- Manage relationships with key suppliers such as cleaners, etc
- Provide on-job direction, support and coaching to the receptionist/facilities assistant
- Assists health and safety team in completion of DSE/workstation assessments for office
**What you’ll need to have**:
- Proven experience of office/facilities management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages
- Exceptional organisational skills
- Experience being front of house with a pleasant, courteous manner
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to prioritise effectively
- Effective management of staff and third-party suppliers
- Numerate with good attention to detail
- Positive attitude, highly reliable
- Demonstrates value for money in the services being delivered
