**About the role**

You will support the HR Business Partner and HR Advisor, by providing Human Resources (HR) Advisory support to an assigned service area and across the Council where necessary, responding to day-to-day HR terms, conditions, and process queries as well as supporting on organisational change activity including TUPE.

You’ll provide first line advice covering employee relations, including attendance management, grievance, performance management, conduct, as well as service transformation activity.

You’ll establish and develop a positive customer-focused relationship with the managers within the assigned portfolio, supporting the HR Business Partner in the identification and delivery of service priorities and initiatives.

**About you**

You must be educated to Degree level. CIPD qualification, or studying towards one, is desirable.

You must have experience working in HR in a generalist capacity, assisting with change initiatives and a reasonable knowledge of the principles of employment law. The ability to work to deadlines is a must. Experience of giving basic advice on attendance management, grievance, performance management, and conduct is desirable.

You should have the ability to form good working relationships and communicate effectively with a wide range of audience, and be proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and HR information systems.
