A primary school based in Newcastle is looking for an enthusiastic individual to join their hardworking team as a Youth Support Mentor. Working on a 1:1 basis, you will be responsible for supporting a child with Autism and other special educational needs, both inside and outside the classroom. This is an exciting and varied role where you can have a really positive impact.

The Role
- Youth Support Mentor - Long-term role
- Work closely with a pupil with ASD and behavioural issues
- Inspiring role where you can start making a difference from day one
- Supportive and passionate Teaching and Support Staff
- Paid, invaluable school-based experience
- Support class teachers by providing 1:1 for a child with additional needs
- Full time role, Monday to Friday
- Paid £350-450 per week, term time only

Person Specification
- Genuine desire to gain experience supporting people with SEN
- Good understanding of ASD
- Excellent communication skills
- A genuine passion for education
