TPF Recruitment is supporting a fantastic independent firm of chartered accountants in Sittingbourne who are looking for an Accounts Manager to join their successful team. You will work in a mixed accounts and tax capacity but you will also have the opportunityto work in audit, or management accounts too, should you wish.Our client promotes a fantastic family culture and relaxed working environment, where you will also benefit from hybrid working, a great salary, and an excellent benefits package.

**You will be responsible for**:

- **Draft and finalise financial year end accounts using IRIS for a portfolio of LTDs and LLP's **
- **Undertake financial close procedures for the month end, including inter-company balance reconciliations**
- **Preparing / reviewing management accounts and month end reconciliations, including commentary**
- **Preparing / reviewing extended trial balances including the final year end trial balance**
- **Preparing / revieiwing corporation tax computation calculations and basic tax planning**
- **Dealing with the preparation and/or reviewing the completion of VAT returns, including EC Sales and Intrastat returns**
- **Hold client meetings advising them of potential Tax/Accounting implications**
- **Use cloud accounting tools to process transactions, prepare and post journals, update all ledgers, perform bank reconciliations ready for the monthly reporting process**

**Requirements**:

- Be ACA or ACCA qualified or nearly qualified, or qualified by experience
- Have a minimum of 5 years practical experience in a similar practice based role.
