**The Role**:

- Establish a safe and stimulating environment for pupils
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of how pupils learn
- Liaising with other staff members to understand children’s needs
- Ensuring children’s behaviour is managed using the school’s behaviour policy
- You will need to be resilient, patient, hardworking and dedicated
- Will be working with children in Early Years, KS1 and KS2
- Working 1:1 and on a small group basis with SEN students
- To support students both within the class and during unstructured situations

**What you will need**:

- Have experience working with SEN students
- Have training or experience in Makaton, PECS, Behaviour Management or be Team Teach trained is preferred
- Be flexible and patient, as the needs of students may vary
- Be able to communicate effectively within a team
- Reliable, committed, and punctual
- Ability to build respectful and positive relationships with both children, parents and colleagues.
- To understand challenging behaviour and in turn be resilient
