**Principal Clinical/Health Psychologists are required;**

We are looking to recruit clinical and/or health psychologists to provide a specialised clinical/health psychology service to the Occupational Health Department. This is to deliver and oversee the Boards Peer Support Framework. This will include undertaking individual clinical/health psychology assessments, psychological interventions to improve wellbeing; promote health behaviour change, consultancy, advice and training on clinical/ health psychology and health improvement and/ or health promotion aspects of care to other staff members.

To assist and enable service improvement, including wider population studies and research programmes, using Scottish Government approved quality improvement methods.
- Post-holder will provide highly specialist psychological assessment and clinical/health formulation, tailored behaviour change interventions and specific care packages for individuals and groups to improve psychological wellbeing in the context of a wide range of health conditions including services for a wide range of health conditions as well as health preventative work. These may be conducted in a group setting as appropriate.
- Post holder is responsible for evaluating and advising on re-designing services as appropriate within the remit of the post that promote the health and wellbeing of individuals and groups, and looking at innovative ways of engaging individuals.
- A major job responsibility is teaching, training and consultancy on clinical/health psychology approaches to healthcare and health improvement to a range of p NHS staff. The post-holder is expected to initiate and take responsibility for, the development and evaluation of new training packages for staff and/or self-help materials for patients, as appropriate.
- Post holder is also required to supervise: assistant psychologists; clinical and health psychologists in training from both Masters Level and Doctoral level BPS/NES approved training courses; and other professional groups.

The post-holder will demonstrate advanced theoretical and practical knowledge as a clinical/health psychologist which requires to be obtained through:

Doctoral level (or equivalent) training in clinical or health psychology as accredited by the BPS or HCPC.
- Registration with the HCPC as a clinical or a health psychologist.
