Credit Controller

**Purpose**

To provide support to all areas of the credit control function, primarily Sales Ledger and CCR Work, to ensure the company’s credit exposure is accurately monitored and cash flow maximised.

**Responsibilities**
- Managing accounts within the Accounts Receivable ledger
- Responsible for collecting payments due and overdue
- Managing customer credit limits
- Following up queries
- Liaising with sales and customer services to resolve payment disputes.
- Other general duties to assist Finance Department.
- Supporting the Customer Service team in arranging returns and raising credit notes.

**Education / Skills / Knowledge / Experience**
- Established experience in Credit Control and Finance assistant roles
- Experience of managing over **1,000 accounts**:

- GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
- General interest in accounting or finance
- Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office, especially Excel

- Highly numerate
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with various customers professionally
- Accurate worker with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work under own initiative
