**About the Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer role**:
The **Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer** is part of a highly skilled, dedicated, development team supporting and enabling Vitality’s marketing across all business lines. They will ensure that a successful user experience is delivered tomarketing users and play a crucial role in the implementation of new developments. The Marketing Cloud developer will work across multiple projects and support continuous improvement roadmap items.

**Your responsibilities as our Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer will include**:

- Working closely with the SFMC Technical Consultant, Marketing teams and other business stakeholders to define and recognise business needs, translating these into Salesforce Marketing Cloud deliverables
- Implement automated solutions utilizing Marketing Cloud SQL, API integration and SSJS with guidance from the SFMC Developer where needed
- Create automated journeys utilising Journey Builder, ensuring Contact Builder configuration is used where appropriate
- Produce technical documentation and specifications for all developments, working within Agile development cycles
- Manage end-to-end development testing, based on our standard testing framework, taking part in peer review to test work carried out by other developers
- Collaborate with IT and other Salesforce teams across the business to deliver high quality software solutions

**What we’re looking for in our Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer**:
**Essential**
- Certified Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer or working towards this certification
- General knowledge of programming languages and confident with learning new programming languages
- A high degree of self-motivation and the ability to work flexibly within tight deadlines with demanding stakeholders
- High level of attention to detail when creating and testing code for implementation
- Ability to communicate complicated technical concepts clearly, both verbally and in written form

**Desirable**
- Experience of agile development (Jira)
- Hands on experience with major CRM platform (ie. Salesforce)
- Experience working in the insurance or financial services sector
