Funeral Administrator

Applications are invited for a permanent, 25 hours per week, Funeral Administrator / Receptionist vacancy based at our Funeral Homes in Barrhead, Paisley & Neilston.
We are an independent, family owned and run Funeral Directors (established 1911) with 3 generations of experience, who are looking for an Administrator / Receptionist to join our team.
The purpose of the job is to carry out general administration tasks relating to the day to day running of the business as well as job specific administration. Our accounts package is XERO and we would provide training regarding using this and our specific accounting templates.
Main duties will include:
- Being front line of enquiry when clients and families contact us both by telephone and in person
- Supporting Funeral Directors with administrative tasks and completing necessary paperwork
- Liaising via telephone and providing information accordingly
- Performing general office tasks such as filing, photocopying, collating, etc.
- Inputting sensitive information and funeral related data
- Ensuring all reception responsibilities are completed accurately and in a timely manner
Competencies and Qualifications:
- Have an excellent telephone manner
- Experience using Microsoft packages
- Excellent computer skills
- High attention to detail
- Strong initiative
- Good level of literacy and numeracy
- The ability to learn quickly and adapt to changes
- Follow operational procedures
- Ability to communicate easily with all types of people
- Effective communication and listening skills
- Takes responsibility for actions
- Good organisational and time management skills
The role: Funeral Administrator / Receptionist
Location: Barrhead, Paisley & Neilston
Hours : TBC (With flexibility to cover busy periods and holidays)
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 25 per week
**Salary**: £11.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
