This is an incrediblejob opportunity here for an accountant (senior level) to come on board a fantastic, successful and fun accountancy company.
Within this role no two days are the same and you will have a varied role - some of this includes preparing accounts, corporate tax computations, management accounts, VAT and providing other, varied general practice services and you will report directlyto the Directors.
You will work in a mixed accounts and general tax capacity, to a portfolio of interesting and varied clients offering a full suite of value-adding accountancy and advisory services. **Responsibilities for the Accountant**:
- Manage all accounts and tax jobs prepared by you and your team, allocating work and reviewing completed tasks to ensure all compliance work is completed accurately and well within required deadlines.
- You and the team will be responsible for annual accounts preparation, corporation tax compliance, payroll, VAT Returns, bookkeeping support, personal tax returns, general tax planning and more.
- Day to day management and delegation of the workflow across the accounts team, to ensure deadlines and delivery agreements are met.
- Review and filing year end accounts and statutory requirements prepared by other members of your team.
- Producing and filing all high-level client work to include, completion of statutory accounts, consolidated accounts and tax computations.
- Produce client quarterly and monthly management accounts and forecasts
- Prepare, review and file tax returns for individuals including Directors, HNWI’s and UK Trusts
- Provide technical assistance to the team and act as an escalation point to support them whenever needed
- Nurture and develop trusted advisor relationships with key clients, providing exceptional service levels and be their first point of contact in providing tax planning and technical advice as required.
- Report to the directors on a weekly basis, as part the senior management team.
- Assist the Directors with priority tasks and adhoc project based work.
**Qualifications needed for the Accountant**:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA,ACCA or CIMA) with at least 3 years’ experience in an Accountancy Practice.
- Management experience needed - leadership qualities essential.
- Be reliable, self motivated and able to work independently, be driven to efficiently deliver technical knowledge with excellent accuracy across all areas of accounting and tax compliance.
- Be an upbeat and personable individual, who is able to establish, nurture and maintain effective and positive working relationships with co-workers and clients.
- Strong communication skills, as these are essential, both verbal and written - excellent presentation and organisational skills.
- Be competent with using accountancy packages such Quickbooks, Freeagent, Xero & Taxcalc.
