**Join our Transport team as a HGV Technician based at our site in Sherburn in Elmet (LS25).**

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for carrying out maintenance, repairs, and modification work on the fleet of vehicles and trailers.
- You will provide technical work to the highest standards in line with strict health and safety requirements for equipment, machines, and tools.
- Communicating with managers and senior-level staff members when appropriate with progress on jobs and any additional work required
- You will also be required to undertake pre-MOT checks and undertake any repairs that are required.
- Managing and prioritising jobs and workload, scheduling, completing paperwork
- Hold an HGV licence Class 1 (desirable not essential)
- You will have industry recognised qualifications (NVQ or City & Guilds level 3 as an HGV Mechanic).
- Have an in-depth knowledge of commercial vehicles

**Working hours will be**:
**40 hours a week (weekend work will be required at times)**

**Pay**:
**£40,000 per year**

**Salary**: From £40,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Sherburn in Elmet, North Yorkshire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
