**Join our Maintenance team as a Head Of Heating And Electrical**

**The role**
We have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join us in the position of Head Of Heating And Electrical in London. Your responsibilities will include:

- Demonstrate leadership in planning, developing and implementing practices to recruit, motivate and develop staff whilst improving service delivery, efficiency and profitability.
- Ensure team members are suitably qualified and competent to manage their service area.
- Effectively direct the management and performance of staff, contractors, suppliers and other resources. Develop open and collaborative partnerships, which clearly demonstrate value for money and instil a culture of customer excellence.
- Ensure all staff within the Heating and Electrical Services team have a clear understanding of their role, responsibilities and corporate, team and individual targets.
- Work to develop the team in regards training, support, coaching and mentoring to inspire high performers and generate a can-do culture.
- Ensure all team members observe and work within One Housing Safety Management System and all relevant good practice guides and legislation.
- Effective financial management of budgets including budget setting and the provision of financial information and analysis to monitor contract progress and expenditure to achieve value for money and to support the 1-, 5- and 30-year asset business plans.
- Prepare cost value reconciliations of contracts to facilitate accurate financial forecasting and cost control of projects. Ensure timely preparation of accurate invoices and valuations for dispatch by finance team.
- Prepare regular performance monitoring reports for discussion at management team meetings. Prepare and present reports to OHG Executive Team, Board and Committee. Ensure compliance reports are accurate, maximising systems and robust auditing processes

**What you will need to succeed**
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills coupled with leadership, delegation, and people management skills. Ability to work under pressure, multitask and maintain high levels of attention to detail.
- Collaborative approach to leading and engaging teams to exceed targets, perform to a high standard consistently and deliver customer focused services.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
- Professionally qualified in Electrical and/or heating related discipline. High level of knowledge of Heating and Electrical Service issues and the regulatory framework
- In depth knowledge and understanding of the diverse lifestyles and needs of residents.
- High level knowledge and experience of managing Partnering Contracts; Contract law, documentation, statutory regulations, British Standards, and their implementation in relation to repair and investment contracts.
