**Executive Assistant to the Joint Surgical Secretariat (0.6 FTE) and the College Corporate Office (0.4FTE) - 35 hours per week - permanent**

**Grade 4 - £27,377.35 - 35 hours per week**

The College supports hybrid working practices including working from home, however, regular attendance at meetings in Glasgow city centre would also be a requirement of the role.

We are looking for an experienced Executive Assistant to work for the Joint Surgical Secretariat and the College Corporate Office.

**The Role**
- Joint Intercollegiate Surgical Secretariat_

There are several committees and other bodies with which the post-holder works namely; Joint Surgical Colleges’ Meeting, Surgical Forum of Great Britain and Ireland, Planning and Review Group (PRG), Global Surgery Working Group, Intercollegiate Committee for SAS Education, Intercollegiate Surgical Committee for Northern Ireland**.**

The role involves secretarial, administrative and minute-taking support to the chair-people and to the meetings themselves. The job holder is expected to travel 3 times per year to London, Dublin and Edinburgh to support the Joint College Surgical Meeting (JSCM) when they are located in these Royal Surgical Colleges.
- RCPSG Corporate Office_

As part of College Corporate Office Team, the post-holder will work alongside the PA to the CEO, the PA to the President and the relevant chair-people to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the following College groups and committees including minute-taking: Lay Advisor Group, Sustainability Group, Global Health Group, Academic Board and the Steering Group for Surgical Technology in Healthcare (yet to be established).

**About You**

Previous experience in a senior secretarial/PA post which has a significant degree of responsibility is essential. You will need excellent minute taking, communication, planning and organisational skills including ability to prioritise effectively. You will also need strong interpersonal skills in order to influence and interact effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
