**Laser Engraver Operative**

In this role you will be part of our Production team responsible for operating our laser engraving machines.

No industry experience is necessary for this role as full training will be given and you will learn on the job and via a formal training program. We are looking for someone with a great work ethic, a ‘can do’ attitude, can work to tight deadlines and can always produce accurate work.

MAIN DUTIES:
- To operate the ferrule laser engraving machine to engrave ferrules prior to them being used to assemble hoses.
- Engrave ferrules as per the customers requirement and as stated on the job card.
- To carry out respective quality checks as per the company’s policy.
- To ensure that work areas are always kept clean, tidy and hazard free.
- To actively contribute to the overall team activities and promote good working practices.
- To log errors as required.
- To report all job card amendments to team leader to improve efficiency.
- To report near misses, accidents and incidents as required.
- Adhere to company Quality, Health and Safety policies.
- Responsible for helping the business to identify opportunities for improvement as part of our business management and quality strategy. Also, to flag up any risks to our QMS from the operations you carry out.
- Be involved with and support any audits within your department and comply with all internal/external audit resource and certification bodies.
- Formal and in-house training will be provided.

Other Requirements:
- Educational qualifications that demonstrate proficiency in English Language and Maths.
- Previous practical hands on experience in any role useful but not essential.
- Able to act proactively and with limited direct supervision, while at the same time recognising when matters need to be referred to Team Leader or Head of Operations.
- Ability and aptitude to lean.
- The interpersonal skills necessary to develop and sustain effective relationships internally with other members of production team.
- Able to work accurately with detailed information.
- Possesses a high level of resilience and drive, able to be flexible and change direction as required and work well under pressure.
- Demonstrates first class attention to details and team working skills.
- Demonstrate a positive “can do” approach to work.
- Able to manage time effectively, prioritise tasks and achieve set targets.
