**Receptionist**
**Location: West Hartford Community Fire Station, West Hartford Business Park, Cramlington, NE23 3JP**
Hourly rate: £10.61 per hour
Working hours: 27.5 hours per week, Monday to Thursday. Monday to Wednesday 8:30am to 5pm, Thursday 8:30am to 12pm

Your new role:
**About the role**
As a Receptionist, your new responsibilites include:
- First point of contact for visitors, dealing with initial queries and ensuring appropriate officer is contacted.
- Provision of accurate information and advice to visitors in using the building and facilities.
- Control of access and recording of visitors in to and out of the building.
- Provision of a telephony service, including response to enquiries, passing callers and messages onto the relevant department or member of staff.
- To maintain the reception area, ensuring displays are tidy, up to date and the area is compliant with health and safety requirements.
- Ensure incoming and outgoing mail is sorted promptly in accordance with agreed standards, including franking and preparation for collection and franking machine is kept fully funded.
- Ensure post-room equipment is used in accordance with operating instructions, health and safety requirements, security, and audit standards.
- Utilise relevant ICT systems to maintain accurate records, files, and information in conjunction with reception duties.
- Accept and manage bookings for training/meeting rooms including catering arrangements, informing the Site Supervisor daily of room usage and any requirements.
- Statistics - update records daily of room, catering and room hire costs.
