Receptionist

AG Hotels Group is seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented receptionist to join our team at **The Embassy Hotel, Gateshead**. As a receptionist, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel during the night shift.
**Responsibilities**:
- Greet and check-in guests arriving during the shift
- Assist guests with inquiries, requests, and provide information about the hotel and local area
- Handle guest complaints or issues promptly and professionally
- Manage the check-out process and ensure accurate billing
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately
- Maintain the front desk area, ensuring it is clean, organized, and presentable
- Perform audit and ensure the safety and security of guests and the premises
- Perform administrative tasks, such as updating guest records and making reservations
- Collaborate with other departments, such as housekeeping and maintenance, to ensure guest satisfaction
- Handle emergency situations and follow appropriate procedures
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential
- Knowledge of PMS and basic computer skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Availability to day shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Professional appearance and demeaner
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: £10.42-£10.52 per hour
Expected hours: 24 - 32 per week
