Job Overview:
We are seeking skilled and reliable solar PV installers to join our team. As a solar PV installer, you will be responsible for performing various tasks on our installation sites or similar work environments. This is a physically demanding role that requires the ability to perform manual labour and operate a variety of tools and equipment. You will have already have an appropriate period of experience as a solar PV installer, at least 3 years. You will have knowledge of the main mounting systems and roof types, particularly commercial.

**Duties**:

- Perform general installation duties such as setting out and fixing mounting systems, fixing panels, stringing, crimping MC4s and running DC cable
- Taking instructions from the team leader, and leading a labourer(s)
- Assist with the setup and cleanup of work areas
- Operate hand tools and power tools as required
- Assist with basic welding tasks
- Provide support to skilled tradespeople as needed
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in a solar PV installation
- Familiarity with a range of brands and types of panels, mountings, roofs and inverters
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools
- Basic understanding of electrical systems is beneficial
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings is a plus
- Working knowledge of health and safety practices

**Skills**:

- Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labour for extended periods of time
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and dexterity
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
