**Procurement/Contracts Manager | £45k - £50k | Leicester LE1**
A fantastic and exciting opportunity has arisen with our client based in Leicester for an experienced and committed Procurement/Contracts Manager. The key purpose of the role is to drive the company’s procurement and supplier relationship strategies and processes,ensuring compliance across the business and delivery of the agreed targets and savings

**Experience & Qualifications**:

- Sound and proven knowledge of BPO
- Demonstrable hands-on end to end procurement and contract management experience (2 years or more)
- A good knowledge of category management principles or similar systemic approaches to procurement
- An ability to formulate and draft supply contracts
- Very strong project management skills
- Experience working within a continuous improvement culture with a strong internal customer focus
- Able to lead benchmarking activities
- Able to manage own workloads and prioritise deadlines
- MCIPS qualified (or CIPS qualified and working towards MCIPS)
**Procurement**:

- Provide a proactive procurement approach, providing direction and expert advice on all procurement and supplier management matters including undertaking end-to-end tender processes, support smaller exercises and periodic due diligence
- Lead responsibility for identifying and planning future procurement/contract re negotiations related activity, agreeing priorities with stakeholders, ensuring resources are planned and commercial and financial risks in the supply chain are identified andmitigated
- Implement improvements in the procurement contract supplier management approach across the business
- Establish, plan and implement end-to-end category strategies using expert knowledge, research, data and market insights to determine priorities and inform decision making to ensure security of supply, financial savings and sustainability from supply chain
- Engage with existing and potential supplier market to identify market trends, potential routes to market and opportunities to deliver improved outcomes including financial and service delivery improvements
- Engage with stakeholders to develop a future procurement pipeline and influence internal stakeholders via category knowledge, identifying changes required to current approaches and new opportunities within the supplier marketplace
- Achieve value for money demonstrated using KPIs and relevant benchmarks, as well as considering the supplier fit with the company’s sustainable procurement strategy
- For high value and strategic contracts, lead cross functional teams on procurement projects including options appraisal and ensuring intended outcomes and value for money are achieved
- Maintain the company’s Approved Supplier List (ASL) including supplier on-boarding and evaluation, working with the company’s Accounts Payable department
- Produce best-fit contractual agreements that fulfil all business requirements, working with the company’s In-House Counsel on high value and complex contracts
- Lead problem resolution and commercial negotiations on behalf of the company in relevant supply markets and on key supplier contracts
**Contracts**:

- Work with company stakeholders on supplier relationship management for key suppliers across allocated categories of expenditure based on a partnership approach to maximise the benefits from key supplier relationships
- Implement improvements in the contract management approach across the business
- Drive a continuous improvement approach, demonstrating excellent commercial acumen and analytical skills to ensure commercial solutions add value, are in line with the company’s sustainable procurement strategy and drive sustainable performance for the organisationand customers
- Initiate and manage change in our relationships with suppliers to secure improvements in areas such as service delivery, financial benefits to the company, improved sustainability outcomes or reduced risk
- Support individual managers by providing expert advice on more complex contract management disputes
- Carry out periodic health checks on key suppliers in respect of certain matters such as their financial robustness and sustainability measures
- Monitor and report on SLAs and KPIs
- Support with supplier audits
