**Role Purpose**:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide support to teachers in preparing for lessons and helping children understand their work. This role is pivotal in creating a supportive, safe, and encouraging environment for students to learn and thrive. You will work with children of various ages and abilities, including those with special educational needs (SEN), ensuring they receive the tailored support they need to achieve their full potential.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the preparation of the classroom, setting up equipment, and preparing materials for lessons.
- Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning, monitor progress, and provide feedback to teachers.
- Support students with special educational needs (SEN) under the direction of the classroom teacher and SENCO.
- Contribute to creating a safe and stimulating learning environment.
- Assist with classroom management and maintaining discipline.
- Participate in school meetings, training, and professional development sessions as required.
- Support children in developing social skills and positive behavior.
- Assist with the supervision of students outside of classroom activities (e.g., lunchtime duties).

**Requirements**:

- GCSEs in English and Maths at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent qualifications).
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is desirable but not essential.
- A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3, CACHE Level 2/3) is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to inclusive education and the ability to work effectively with children with diverse needs.
- Patience, flexibility, and a positive approach to problem-solving.
