**Qualifications required to fill this Teaching Assistant role**:

- Good GCSE Grades
- Experience working with SEMH or Challenging Behaviour

**What does the Teaching Assistant role involve?**

The **Teaching Assistant** role includes supporting the class teacher and students during lessons and 1:1 session. The lessons will have delivered to all year groups Key Stage 3, Key stage 4.

**What is the purpose of my role as a Teaching assistant?**
As a **Teaching Assistant**, you will be exposed to students of various abilities, you will need to analyse data and build up your ability to raise attainment using skills, lesson plans, numeracy and literacy tasks to raise attainment. Again, thiswill build your knowledge of how students are monitored, data is analysed and attainment is raised and students are managed more effectively by teachers. As a **Teaching Assistant**, you'll learn and implement strategies to support students engage with the curriculum.

**What will Prospero and the school do to help me if I have no experience?**
As a new member of staff, you will be given an induction by Prospero and allocated a line manager in the school, usually the Higher Learning Teaching Assistant and SENCO. These people will provide you with extensive guidance and support, you will also be supportedby Prospero. Regular meetings and CPD training sessions are offered by Prospero and the school to ensure you are learning, growing and developing within the Teaching Assistant role.
