We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Social Media Executive with expertise in Chinese social media platforms, particularly in video content creation, to join our team. As a Social Media Executive, you will play a pivotal role in managing and growing our digital presence on Chinese social media channels, including but not limited to WeChat, Douyin (TikTok), and Red (Xiaohongshu). Your focus will be on creating engaging video content and attracting a wide range of followers to both our brand account and lifestyle-focused account.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and execute an innovative social media strategy for Chinese platforms, with a specific emphasis on video content creation.
- Create compelling and culturally relevant video content for WeChat, Douyin, Red, and other Chinese social media platforms, ensuring high-quality visuals, storytelling, and editing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information, brainstorm creative ideas, and produce video content that aligns with our brand voice and marketing objectives.
- Monitor and manage day-to-day activities on Chinese social media accounts, including content planning, scheduling, and engagement with followers.
- Actively engage with the audience, respond to comments and messages, and foster a sense of community through interactive and captivating video content.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, features, and algorithms on Chinese social media platforms, and leverage them to optimize video content reach and engagement.
- Conduct regular analysis of social media metrics, generate reports, and provide actionable insights to drive continuous improvement in video content performance.
- Collaborate with influencers or KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders) in the Chinese social media landscape to amplify brand reach and engagement.
- Ensure compliance with social media regulations, guidelines, and best practices specific to Chinese platforms.
- Keep abreast of competitor activities on Chinese social media and identify opportunities for differentiation and growth.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in managing Chinese social media platforms, including WeChat, Douyin, and Red, with a focus on video content creation and engagement.
- Proficient in video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or other relevant tools, to create visually appealing and engaging video content.
- Strong understanding of Chinese social media trends, user behaviour, and platform algorithms, with a track record of successfully attracting and engaging followers through video content.
- Fluent in written and spoken Chinese (Mandarin), with exceptional copywriting skills and the ability to convey messages effectively through video content.
- Knowledge of social media analytics tools to track video content performance, generate insights, and optimize campaigns.
- Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative video content ideas and adapt them to specific social media platforms.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively communicate ideas and feedback.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £20,000.00-£22,000.00 per year
