In partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support, the purpose of this post is to provide a dedicated, professional project co-ordination service to support the development of a person-centred service that enables people affected by cancer to navigate the health, social and wider systems to access practical, emotional and social support and promote self-management for people to live well, addressing their holistic needs during and after cancer treatment. The post will also provide ongoing administrative support to service delivery. There will be a requirement to work across organisational boundaries with partners to ensure the best possible outcomes for people affected by cancer

You will be responsible for co-ordinating and supporting the work of a number of multi-disciplinary groups by providing a high-level administrative service, dealing with enquiries related to the programme, supporting the co-ordination of the project using project management techniques and tools in conjunction with time management and organisational skills, developing the electronic and paper systems to be used within the programme, preparing and communicating project updates and contributing to the production, monitoring and reviewing of project plans. Additionally you will provide ongoing administrative support to the delivery of the service, which will include acting as a single point of contact for the service, managing incoming referrals, assigning cases to a Support Facilitator supporting outgoing referrals and information provision. You will also contribute to the development of the project website and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all administrative, project and relevant NHS Ayrshire & Arran polices.

This post will be based within East Ayrshire Health & Social Care Partnerships, will be employed by NHS Ayrshire & Arran, and report to the Macmillan Cancer Programme Lead. There is a requirement to work flexibly across Ayrshire to meet the service demands.

You will be educated to HNC/HND Level or have obtained equivalent experience in a health and social care setting, and have some experience of working with NHS systems. You will have experience of using project co-ordination tools, and with working within multi-disciplinary teams. Additionally, you will have good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with complex and emotional situations.

**Full UK Driving Licence and access to a car is essential.
