**Network Manager, - Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Multicast.**

An exciting and varied role working within a Major Brokerage House in The City. Paying in the £140 to £160k range with Excellent Bonus + Overtime + Benefits.

The Network Manager is the "technical owner" of the Network team and be responsible for the design, implementation and operation of the global network. The highly skilled Network Manager will both assist in the design and implement new strategies for theorganisation to succeed, as well as providing hands on experience in managing a global network and leading the global team of experienced network engineers.

With our Technology area, the Network Team is responsible for the overall IT network of the company. The Network Team is central to the success of the organisation and works with the global IT teams in Asia, Europe and North America to monitor and maintainthe network systems to ensure maximum uptime and service delivery to the business.

**Responsibilities**:

- Leads the vision and implementation of modern global Network Services across the organisation
- Ensuring Network operational excellence and making sure the network remains stable
- Architecture and Project consultation for new network requirements.
- Ensuring network projects are delivered on time and on budget.
- Maintenance of the company's Global Network in line with internal Security and Operational standards
- Ensuring the network is resilience and required testing is completed in line with internal policies
- Review and approve changes to the network
- Manages and leads a team of skilled network engineers
- Ensuring operational work items are tracked and managed
- Resource planning and allocation to ensure priorities are met
- Motivates team members and assesses performance.
- Provides help to the management team, including hiring and training, and keeps management updated on team performance
- Supports the Head of IT and performs management duties when he/she is absent or out of office.
- Manages the relationships with Network vendors, manages renewals and identifies cost/value optimisation initiatives that meet the organisation’s objectives
- Tracks and manages the overall Network budget
- Provide Operational support and escalation as required for Network issues
- Adhere to the operational risk framework for your role ensuring that all regulatory or company determined parameters are complied with.
- Role model for demonstrating highest level standards of integrity and conduct and reflecting Company Values
- At all times complying with the FCA’s Code of Conduct

**Skills & Experience**:

- Team Leadership / Management Experience (minimum 2 years)
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) - Terraform/AWS and Ansible
- Edge network knowledge
- Zero Trust / Cloud Secure Web Gateway
- Palo Alto Firewall working experience (> 2-3 years)
- Relevant product Knowledge and Industry Experience - Cisco, Arista and Juniper networking skills (>7 years)
- Understanding of MPLS, RSVP, LDP, L2VPN, L3VPN, VPLS, VRF
- Multicast PIM Sparse and dense mode
- EIGRP/OSPF
- BGP
- LAN-LAN and Remote access IPSec VPN
- Routing, Switching, NAT
- Cisco IOS, Juniper JUNOS
- Spanning Tree Protocol and Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol
- IP network packet troubleshooting and analysis
- WAN/Campus LAN network design and implementation
- Internet, Firewall and DMZ design and implementation
- Cloud computing network design/implementation (AWS)
- Project management skills from inception to delivery

**Non Essential But Highly Desirable Skills**:

- Previous Financial experience - Futures & Options Trading / Settlement Systems.
- Some Linux / Unix System Administration - RedHat, Ubuntu, Solaris.
- Knowledge of at least one of the ISV’s products and their connectivity - Trading Technologies, Stellar, ULLink, WebICE, Object Trading, Fidessa, ION / Patsystems, Trayport.
- Exchange Connectivity - ICE / LIFFE, Eurex, CME / CBOT, Xetra, Chi-X, LME, LSE, NYSE.
