We are working with a high end award winning Eye Hospital in Fareham, Hampshire and the UK's most trusted Eye Care Specialist. They are recruiting for a permanent full time nurse to join them.
The Eye Hospital has state-of-the-art facilities and offer a full range of specialist eye care treatments, including laser eye surgery, lens replacement and cataract surgery, delivered by our fully NHS-trained ophthalmologists surgeons.
**Job Role**:
Be responsible for participating in all aspects of the Ophthalmic service at Optegra, including surgery. Provide excellent care to all patients, with specific responsibility for diagnostic testing, pre-operative assessment, peri-operative and post-operativecare in the surgical and refractive suite of the hospital, and assisting with minor operations.
**Qualifications/Experience Required**:
- Registered General Nurse/NMC registration
- Minimum one year post qualification nursing experience.
- Previous experience in Ophthalmology, Theatre, General surgery or Outpatients.
- Awareness of responsibilities in relation to NMC Professional Code of Conduct.
- Awareness of role of CQC
- Computer and IT skills i.e. good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Personal Qualities
- Passionate about patient care and delivering the best patient experience
- Able to build and maintain exceptional relationships with colleagues and customers.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Consistent professional attitude demonstrated to all colleagues and customers; personable, confident and articulate at all times
- Excellent time management skills.
