**Contract Type: Hours to be discussed - part time/full time available**

At St Mary Riverside Care Home in Hessle, we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and out-going Activities Coordinator to join our team and bring with them a variety of ideas to plan and implement activities appropriate to Residents’ needs and requests.

**Your duties will include, but not be exclusive to**:

- Helping Residents to socialise within the Home, by planning and carrying out an organised and varied activities programmes, and encourage Residents to maintain pre
- existing hobbies.
- Encourage Staff Members, Relatives and Friends to participate in the Home's activities.
- Accompany Residents, where possible, to off-site activities, which may occasionally take place outside normal working hours.
- Help to create an atmosphere that suits individual Residents within the Home.
- Work alongside the Home Manager to arrange fund raising events.
- Assist Home Manager with budgeting, for entertainments, materials and outings.
- Maintain full and accurate records of daily activities using appropriate documentation, and assist the Named Carer to review and update Resident Care Files.
- Provide comfort and company, on a one to one basis, for Residents who are unable to undertake any form of activity.

**Requirements**:

- A passion for ensuring all residents have an excellent care experience.
- An understanding of the importance of promoting choice when delivering activities to residents.
- Experience in an Adult Social Care setting is preferred.
- Experience of delivering positive experiences to those living with Dementia.
- Good written and verbal communication.
