**Teaching Assistant** **with Level 1 BSL - Wandsworth**

Love Teachers is recruiting for a passionate and committed Teaching Assistant with Level 1 British Sign Language to join an innovative day and residential regional school for pupils with Vision impairment, Hearing impairment and Multi-Sensory impairment based in South West London.

You would be working within an experienced team of colleagues in a stimulating and engaging environment, playing a central role in ensuring that every pupil achieves their potential, whatever their needs may be. Supporting the class teacher with the day to day running of the class you will help to prepare fun and engaging learning materials, encourage positive behaviour, and provide 1:1 and small group interventions to students who need additional support with signing and communication.

**Teaching Assistant Desirable Requirements**:

- **Previous SEN experience working with or caring for children and young people.**
- **BSL Level 1.**
- **Ability to use ICT effectively.**
- **Great references.**
- **Motivated attitude and a passion that inspires students.**
- **Knowledge of the principles of safeguarding and an understanding of the duties and responsibilities arising from the Children Act 2004 and Working Together in relation to child protection and safeguarding children and young people.**
