**Higher Level Teaching Assistant | Wandsworth | £85 - £100 PAYE | Full-Time | Immediate Start**

Ortus Recruitment is seeking an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join an exciting and forward-thinking mainstream primary school based in the Wandsworth Borough.

**The Role**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Support teachers in delivering high-quality lessons and interventions to support student progress.
- Manage the classroom and support the teacher in maintaining good behaviour management strategies.
- Deliver group and individual interventions to support student learning and progress.
- Provide support and guidance to other teaching assistants and support staff.
- Communicate effectively with teachers, parents and carers, and other professionals.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, including supporting extra-curricular activities and events.

**Requirements**:

- Level 4 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or above qualification, or an equivalent qualification.
- Have strong literacy and numeracy skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They should also have a good understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment processes, and be able to deliver effective interventions to support student progress.
- Be able to manage the classroom and support the teacher in maintaining good behaviour management strategies.
- Be able to work independently and take responsibility for delivering interventions and supporting student progress.
- Be flexible and adaptable, and able to respond to changing needs and priorities in the school.
