We have an exciting roadmap ahead for new products, services, production capacity and business expansion. As a result of this continued success, we are expanding our teams in Cookstown. We currently have an opportunity for a Forklift Truck Driver.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor the Forklift and Steel Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the proficient and safe use of the forklift in lifting and moving products around the factory. You should be a safety conscious individual and should adhere to all safety regulations and procedures established by Terex. Additionally, oversee and coordinate the steel flow between production areas and liaise with the Purchasing department to check verification and issue of goods received notes.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
- To load and transport products and heavy loads in a safe manner
- To efficiently stack and store products in the appropriate areas
- Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area
- Carry out regular checks and maintenance of the forklift
- Ensure that all relevant paperwork as appropriate is maintained and kept up to date
- Control the incoming inventory to the main production site assisting in audits and cycle counts.
- Schedule incoming components from external and internal suppliers to meet production demands.
- Organise the transportation of steel components to and from the main site to offsite production areas.
- Coordinate all incoming delivery vehicles organising the unloading/ loading of components.
- Enforce the sites safety regulations.
- Control incoming/outgoing delivery receipts.
- Departmental link on galvanised deliveries.

Experience & Qualifications:

- Previous experience as a forklift driver preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Good organizational skills, with the ability to handle and work to tight deadlines
- Good communication skills, both written and spoken
- Valid Counterbalance or Reach License
- Experience in performing Administrative Activities - Performing day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork.
- Experience with controlling inventory deliveries within a fast-moving production environment.
- Experience with Planning, organising, directing and controlling the activities and resources necessary to achieve daily targets
- Delivery, controlling and managing the day-to-day delivery schedules to achieve takt, build to schedule and on time delivery targets.
- Have a working understanding of lean manufacturing, 5S, JIT, continuous improvement techniques and be computer literate in the usual range of Microsoft Products.
